The Plaza is proud to be partnering with the Lift in Saint Paul to staff our theater.

The Lift is a community run organization that seeks to “develop and restore mutually respectful relationships between people from diverse backgrounds, who together invest in the youth of our east side St. Paul neighborhood, equipping them to become self-sustaining, productive, and caring adults.”

One of the aspects of the Lift is its job skills programs for young people who don’t have extensive employment experience. After younger Lift participants “graduate” from an entry-level program, they are invited to apply for a job at The Plaza where they are able to add customer service and cashiering to their job skills. (Applicants with some previous job experience can enter into the theater program directly.). During their employment at The Plaza, mentors from The Lift staff continue to emphasize the development of critical skills.

We are NOT currently hiring new staff. However, if you’re at least 16 years old and would like to be put on a list for possible future employment, please stop by the theater box office and ask for a job application.
